The device can utilize any of the Armoury accessories to facilitate voice communication. The amplification function allows users to speak at normal levels and be understood while wearing full face or half mask respiratory protection, PAPR's or protective suits. This makes it ideal for use in a wide range of applications including; Mass Decontamination, Drug Lab Takedowns, Nuclear Suits, Clean Rooms, Riot Squads, EOD etc…

In addition, the SRVA incorporates a portable Two-Way Radio Accessory into the same housing as the Voice Amplifier. It features a combination PTT Switch and Speaker Grill (patent pending) to provide the user with quick and easy access to their radio network. The unit can operate with virtually any make or model of portable radio.

The SRVA incorporates multiple glands, seals and gaskets into the carbon filled polycarbonate housing so the unit can be washed, decontaminated and withstand heavy use. Standard features include on/off/volume control knob, dual colour power/ low battery indicator LED, unique CON-SPACE accessory Quick Connect, molded in Lanyard attachment point, 360 degree swivel belt clip, and Captive battery housing thumbscrews.

The SRVA is powered by three standard 'AA' batteries and will operate for up to 40 hours . Moreover, the SRVA includes a fail safe feature, whereby the portable radio function continues to operate when the batteries that power the voice amplifier are completely drained.
